The only quarterback any Georgia football fan wants to talk about right now is Gunner Stockton after his impressive performance in UGA’s win at Tennessee this weekend. And while he more than deserves the admiration he is receiving from the fanbase, Georgia fans can’t forget about their future QB either.

Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis has been committed to Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class for a few months now, and he has quickly become the leader of this class. Not only has he been a leader by helping Georgia’s staff in their recruiting efforts, but he also is the top ranked commit in the Bulldogs 2026 class.

Rivals just released another update to their recruiting rankings on Monday, and Curtis climbed even higher as he is now the No. 1 QB in the country and the No. 2 overall player in the 2026 class.

Jared Curtis cements himself as nation’s No. 1 QB

Curtis has always been viewed as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 class, but he has been battling with a few players over the last couple months for that coveted top spot. Texas QB commit Dia Bell has been one of Curtis’s biggest competitors recently, but as it stands today Curtis is only the No. 4 QB according to 247Sports.

But Rivals has given the top spot to Curtis thanks in large part to the impressive start to his senior season. In fact, Curtis has been so good this year that he has already drawn comparisons to a former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick.

So while Georgia fans continue to celebrate the play of Stockton, they can rest easy knowing that the future of UGA’s quarterback room is secure.
