Georgia football has quickly become Penn State's biggest enemy. These two programs never play each other on the field, but they do go head to head on the recruting trail from time to time. And in less than a week, Georgia appears to have put themselves out in front in the recruitment for five-star Penn State running back commit Kemon Spell.

Spell has been committed to Penn State for over a year. He is the No. 8 overall player in the country and the top ranked running back in the 2027 recruiting class. He is from the state of Pennsylvania, so prying him away from Penn State will not be easy, but the latest comment Spell made about his recruitment Friday night shows how much progress Georgia has made in his recruitment in a short amount of time.

"No I'm not. I'm not 100 percent with Penn State anymore."

5-star RB Kemon Spell gives Georgia some great news

After a six touchdown performance Friday night, Spell revealed that he is not 100 percent with Penn State anymore. Spell is still committed to the Nittany Lions, but this quote essentially tells the college football world that his recruitment is wide open.

This will cause many other programs to circle back with Spell to try and flip him from Penn State, but Georgia appears to be the team who is already finding the most success with him. Georgia offered Spell a scholarship on Oct. 8, and one day later Spell announced an upcoming visit to Athens to take in a game later this season.

This was an obvious sign of the interest he has in Georgia, but this quote from Friday night is the icing on the cake. Spell is not in love with Penn State like he used to be, and Georgia is a big reason for that.

Spell unfortunately did not come out and confirm that Georgia is his top school right now, but reading between the lines makes it clear that UGA is the team giving Penn State the most trouble in his recruitment. So don't be surprised to see Spell decommit from Penn State soon and potentially even flip to Georgia once he takes his visit to UGA later this season.
