The recruiting dead period that just lasted throughout all of February in college football is officially over. That means it is time to see what school the top recruits in the country are most interested in. Many of the best recruits announced who their top schools are during the past month, but words only mean so much in recruiting. Now recruits can finally put some actions behind their words.

Now that the dead period is over, recruits can start visiting schools once again. Recruits can obviously choose to visit wherever they want, so it goes without saying that whichever school a recruit chooses to visit first after the dead period may be that recruits No. 1 school right now.

This is really good news for Kirby Smart and Georgia football because a five-star tight end just announced an upcoming visit to Athens in March.

5-star TE Kaiden Prothro

Kaiden Prothro is a five-star tight end from Bowdon, GA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 20 overall player in the country and the No. 3 tight end in the 2026 class. He also is the No. 3 player from his home state of Georgia as well.

Earlier in February, Protrho announced who his top five schools are, and that included Georgia along with Florida, Texas, Auburn and Alabama. This clearly is a tough group of schools to go up against, but this upcoming visit to Georgia could be a sign that the Bulldogs are his No. 1 school right now.

There is a chance that Prothro could take another unofficial visit before he heads to Athens on March 22, but as it stands right now this will be his first visit after the recruiting dead period. Prothro also has an official visit lined up with Georgia on May 30, so he is going to be spending a lot of time with the program in the coming months which is great news for Georgia's chances in this recruitment.
