Georgia football is in the midst of their second big recruiting weekend of the summer as the Bulldogs are welcoming nearly 20 recruits on an official visit to Athens this weekend.
There are a few surprise visitors this weekend, including four-star Alabama offensive line commit Chris Booker, but there are many other very exciting recruits on campus this weekend as well.
Potentially the most exciting recruit currently in Athens is five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Morgan is the No. 11 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2036 class and the No. 1 player from his home state of Alabama.
Morgan was one of the few recruits who was very active on social media during his visit on Friday. And in one of his posts online, he took a video of himself in Georgia gear while also tagging five-star Georgia QB commit Jared Curtis.
And Curtis responded with a simple message which clearly shows how bad he wants Morgan to join him in Georgia.
Morgan and Curtis would be an electric duo at Georgia
Georgia’s biggest competition in Morgan’s recruitment is Alabama, and it goes without saying how difficult it will be to beat the Tide as they are the in-state powerhouse program for Morgan. Heading into this weekend, nobody was that confident in Georgia’s chances to win this recruitment, but this social media post does change that a little.
Morgan didn’t have to post anything on social media during his visit, and he certainly didn’t have to go out of his way to tag Curtis either. So the fact that he did that shows how he may be higher on Georgia than people thought.
It still might be wise to not get too excited over the thought of landing Morgan, but it’s hard to not be hopeful as Curtis and Morgan would be an electric duo at Georgia.
Morgan also posted a video with Kirby Smart as well, which again shows how much fun he is having on his visit.
