Georgia football is fresh off signing their first five-star wide receiver since 2019 when the Bulldogs snagged Talyn Taylor in the 2025 recruiting class. And while having one elite playmaker like Taylor on the roster is very good, Kirby Smart and his staff have their eyes set on another five-star receiver in the 2026 class.
Cederian Morgan is five-star wide receiver from Alexander City, AL. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Morgan is the No 18 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 2 overall player from Alabama.
Earlier this week, Georgia found out that they made the top six for Morgan along with Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Colorado. However, they did not have an official visit lined up with Morgan yet which was a little concerning because other schools did. That however changed late on Saturday when Morgan announced his plans to visit all six of his finalists later this summer.

Does Georgia stand a chance?
Georgia will get the first crack with Morgan during his run of official visits as he plans on visiting Athens beginning May 16. This will be a great chance for Georgia to set the pace in his recruitment and hopefully show him why Georgia is the right place for him compared to all these other schools.
Unfortunately for Georgia however, there are two clear leaders in this recruitment, and they are not one of them. Auburn appears to be the team in the lead right now as they have two crystal ball predictions in their favor on 247Sports. The Tigers are also the heavy favorite according to On3 as well. Alabama is another team trending as they also have one crystall ball prediction in their favor too.
Smart and his staff clearly have an uphill climb if they want to win this recruitment, but Morgan will give them a chance in his recruitment which is all UGA can ask for right now.
