The first edition of the College Football Playoff rankings are officially here, and the committee named Georgia the No. 5 in their initial rankings. This means that Georgia is one of the favorites to win it all this season, but that journey will not be easy by any means.

The first release of the CFP rankings means that Georgia can start seriously looking at the rest of the country and seeing who their biggest threats are. When doing so, there are five teams who stand out above the rest that could prevent Georgia from winning a National Championship this season.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes

The first team on this list has to be the defending National Champions. The Ohio State Buckeyes have all the momentum in the world after winning it all last season, and they got off to a hot start this year with a 14-7 victory over Texas.

The Buckeyes haven't faced much competition since their season opener victory against the Longhorns, but they have handled their business and haven't even come close to losing a game. Their reward? Being named the No. 1 team in the country in the CFP committee's initial rankings.

Ohio State will likely win the rest of their games this season, that is unless they choke agianst Michigan again. They will however likely face Indiana in the Big Ten title game which could be a place they could drop a game, but they will still be comfortably in the 12-team bracket.

But regardless of what happens the rest of the season, the Buckeyes are a team that should be feared as they deserve to be one of the favorites to win it all as they look to repeat as National Champions.
