Georgia football is coming off their SEC Championship win on Saturday night and are riding high as the 2-seed in the official College Football Playoff bracket.
Kirby Smart and Georgia have every chance to win a national championship this season, but they will not be the favorites to do so and have shown more than a few cracks this season. So which CFP teams pose the biggest threat to expose those cracks and knock Georgia out of the playoffs this year?
1. Oregon Ducks
The obvious first choice is Oregon, who are the champions of the Big Ten and the only team to finish the season a perfect 13-0. The Ducks will be as motivated as any team to win the national championship as their program has never won it all in their history, so what better time to do it when they can become the first team to go 16-0 in a season.
Oregon is also about as complete of a team as you will ever find in college football. Their defense is good enough to stop anyone, even though they just gave up 37 points to Penn State in the Big Ten Championship game. But it's their offense that is the most concerning. Georgia has one of the best defenses in the country, but even they will struggle to slow down this fast-paced offense.
The Ducks should be the favorite to win it all and is a team Georgia would be fortunate to avoid. Thankfully it's impossible to play Oregon until the National Championship game, so we'll have to see if both teams get that far or not.
