Georgia football and Kirby Smart are kicking off their 2025 spring practice schedule on Tuesday, which officially marks the beginning of the 2025 football season.
While much of the attention will be on the product on the field, there is a lot happening off the field as well on the recruiting trail.
Recruiting will always be one of the most important things in Georgia's program, and that is still the case even on the first day of spring practice. So Kirby Smart and his staff will have to focus just as much on the future of the program as they will with their team gearing up for next season.
As one would assume, Georgia will have a lot of elite visitors heading to campus over the next month, and that is the case during the first week of practice as dawgnation.com shared six top ranked recruits coming to Georgia this week.
6 top recruits visiting Georgia this week
5-star LB Tyler Atkinson - March 11
4-star EDGE Dre Quinn - March 11
4-star WR Ryan Mosley - March 11
4-star S Simeon Caldwell - March 11
5-star QB Jared Curtis - March 13-16
4-star RB Javian Osborne - March 14-15
The obvious headliner in this group is five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who will be in town for an extended stay towards the end of this week. This visit will come directly on the heels of his trip out west to Oregon, who is his other finalist along with Georgia. Curtis plans to take official visits to both programs later this summer, but these visits will be very impactful in his recruitment.
Five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson is another name to watch closely as well. He is an in-state prospect and the No. 1 linebacker in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings, so that will be someone Smart and his staff will be giving extra attention during his visit.
