Georgia football Defensive Coordinator Glenn Schumann has been linked with multiple programs who are looking for a new head coach this offseason. The latest program to name him as a potential candidate is Michigan.
The Wolverines are one of the top jobs in all of college football, so it would not be surprising for Schumann to debate taking that job if it was offered to him. At this point it does not seem like this job has been offered to him yet, but that could change at any point.
The good news though is that Michigan has appeared to focus their attention on Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm.

A new Michigan target has bought Georgia new life with Glenn Schumann
It likely is just a matter of time until Schumann becomes a head coach for the first time in his career. However, it is pretty unlikely that he would be one of Michigan's top initial targets.
Two years ago Michigan hired Sherrone Moore to repalce Jim Harbaugh. This was the first time Moore was a head coach in his career and it showed because the Wolverines failed to make the playoff each of his two seasons as their head coach.
So would Michigan want to take a chance on another first time head coach? They may not have an option if other coaches keep turning them down, but for now it looks like they want someone who has been a successful head tcoach for a long time.
Schumann however could become a top candidate if Brohm says no. He would be the third coach to turn Michigan down, and at that point it might be time for them to turn their attention to some coaches who have yet to become a head coach in their career. And out of all those coaches Schumann would likely be towards the top of the list of potential candidates.
