Gunner Stockton over the last few weeks has proven that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the country. But he has yet to make a believer out of everyone.

Aaron Murray is a former Georgia quarterback himself, so one would assume he would show a little extra love to Stockton, but that is not the case at all. The latest exaple came when Murray released his top 10 quarterbacks on Tuesday and he put Stockton at No. 5. That is a very respectable ranking for Stockton at this point in the season, but he put one player above him that makes no sense at all.

And this player just so happens to be Carson Beck, who is also known as Georgia's biggest villain.

Aaron Murray says Carson Beck is a better QB than Gunner Stockton

Stockton is fresh off the best performance of his career on Saturday that saw him throw for four touchdowns and run for another in Georiga's win over Ole Miss. Beck on the other hand just had the worst performance of his career as he threw four interceptions in Miami's upset loss to Louisville.

These two performances on Saturday couldn't be more different from each other. But even though that is the case, Murray still believes Beck is the better player between the two.

Stockton has played his way into the Heisman Trophy conversation after this past weekend's performance. His odds are even higher than Becks right now as well. But that still isn't enough for Murray to give Stockton the credit he deserves as the better player compared to Beck.

Stockton will have plenty of chances the rest of this season to prove he is the better player, and if he continues to play like he has been over the last few weeks he will ultimately prove he is the best player in the country.

But Murray has some explaining to do, because no one should think Beck is better than Stockton after last week.
