Georgia football's upcoming showdown with Ole Miss is as big as it gets. The Rebels enter this matchup undefeated and the No. 5 team in the country while the Bulldogs sit at 5-1 and must avoid a second loss this season.

Vegas oddsmakers have had their eyes all over this game and have moved the spread heavily in Georgia's favor. The Bulldogs are currently favored by over 7.5 points which is a pretty large number for a matchup of this magnitude. While it is more than possible for Georgia to cover this spread, former UGA quarterback Aaron Murray is not convinced it will be easy for the Bulldogs.

"Ole Miss will cover the 7.5 (point spread), but I think Georgia does win this game," Murray shared via ugawire.usatoday.com. "Being at home, I think their physicality running the football. I think Georgia somewhat flips the script where they dominate time of possession the first half."

Aaron Murray predicts Georgia vs Ole Miss matchup

Murray believes that Georgia will win this game, but he doesn't think it will be as easy as Vegas predicts. His official prediction is that Georgia will win but Ole Miss will cover the 7.5 point spread.

At the end of the day all that matters is Georgia winning this game. They could win by one point or 100 points and this would still be a marquee victory that will look good on their resume throughout the season. But Georgia has not won a game of this magnitude by a large margin all season, and it would be nice to finally have an easy win.

Ole Miss is the fourth big matchup Georgia will play this season. The three other games have all been very close outcomes which includes an overtime win against Tennessee, a comeback victory over Auburn and a close loss to Alabama. So Georgia fans would love nothing more than to have an easy victory where they don't have to sweat the final outcome all game long.

Ole Miss did beat Georgia by 18 points last season, so it does seem unlikely that Georgia will win by a large margin. But how nice would it be if Georgia did what the Rebels accomplished last season and cruised to an easy victory?

Murray doesn't see that happening, but every Georgia fan will hope he is wrong this time.
