This year arguably is one of the most difficult years in college football history when it comes to ranking the top teams in the country. After Oregon and Ohio State at the top, there are so many different combinations one could come up with for the rest of their rankings that would make sense.
However, former Georgia football quarterback Aaron Murray just released his top 12 college football teams, and UGA fans are not going to like where he ranked the Bulldogs.

Georgia ranked behind Texas, Notre Dame
Murray ranked Georgia No. 5 overall in his top 12 rankings. This is a very fair ranking overall, but seeing two teams in front of Georgia makes no sense.
For starters, Murray has Texas above Georgia. To be fair, the updated AP Poll has the Longhorns above UGA and the upcoming College Football Playoff rankings likely will as well, but one would assume that Murray would think the Bulldogs are better and deserve to be ranked higher than Texas. After all, Georgia did beat Texas by 15 on the road.
Sure Georgia lost to Ole Miss after that game to give UGA an extra loss, but does a road loss to Ole Miss really make Texas the better team after Georgia blew them out in their own stadium?
Murray also has Notre Dame above Georgia as well, which is another decision that doesn't make a ton of sense. Notre Dame has one of the worst losses in the country this season when Northern Illinois came to South Bend and beat the Irish earlier this season. Notre Dame also only has one marquee win when the beat Texas A&M on the road, but Georgia has three times as many quality wins than the Irish.
So while the rest of the country likely agrees with Murray's placement of Georgia, UGA fans probably don't. Hopefully Kirby Smart and Georgia are able to prove Murray and the rest of the country wrong, because there is a good chance they'll play at least one of these team in the CFP later this season.
