Georgia football is sitting in the best position possible at this point in the season. They are 11-1 which is good enough to make the College Football Playoff, and they also clinched a trip to Atlanta to play for an SEC Championship as well.
The same however can't be said for all of their former players which includes Carson Beck at Miami. Miami entered the final week of the regular season as the No. 12 team in the CFP rankings, but they need to get to No. 10 if they are going to earn an at-large bid into the playoff field.
The Hurricanes however did everything they needed to do to impress the committee as they blew out No. 22 Pittsburgh on the road 38-7 on Saturday. It remains to be seen if that is enough to get them into the CFP field, but Aaron Murray not only thinks they could make the playoff but that no team should want to play them.
And that couldn't be further from the truth from Georgia's perspective.
I would not want to play Miami in the playoffs

Georgia would love nothing more than to play Carson Beck, Miami
The first choice for most Georgia fans would be to see Beck and Miami miss the CFP altogether. This would ensure that they have the better season this year after Beck ditched the program this offseason. But if Miami does make the playoff they would be the team Georgia would want to play the most.
Is Miami capable of beating Georgia? Absolutely, but so is pretty much every other team in the playoff. So the opportunity to face Beck and end his season would be too good to pass up.
Even though Miami is the highest ranked ACC team they will not play for a conference championship, so they need some help just to make it into the CFP field. But if they do make it Georgia should hope they fall on the same side of the bracket so they could potentially face Beck and end the Hurricanes season.
