In true Georgia football fashion, the Bulldogs needed a strong second half performance to come away with a victory Saturday night. And that is exactly what happened as Georgia came from behind to beat Florida 24-21.
Georgia fans have gotten used to seeing the Bulldogs struggle in the first half this season. But at the same time they have also become used to seeing Georgia bounce back and play extremely well in the second half en route to a close victory. So most Georgia fans will be able to relate to what Aaron Murray said when the second half began, because likely everyone was thinking the exact same thing that he said.
2nd half is usually the Dawgs half

Heck of a drive to get it going
Aaron Murray said the quiet part out loud about Georgia’s second half dominance
Murray fired off the above post after the Bulldogs defense got a quick stop on the first drive of the second half. And the message he shared was very straight forward. He knew, like everyone else, how strong of a team Georgia has been in the second half this year, so he stated the obvious that Georgia will need another big half in order beat Florida.
But Murray didn't just say Georgia needed a great second half, he made it seem like it was a guarantee that UGA would play well and close out this game. It's hard to blame him for feeling this way because that is what Georgia has done all season, and that is exactly what they did against Florida.
Georgia scored an early second half touchdown to take a 17-10 lead, but Florida responded to steal the lead from UGA at 20-17. They even had the ball deep in Georgia territory up three points, but the Bulldogs got a big stop on fourth down which propelled UGA's offense to march down the field and win the game.
Saturday may not have been as dominant of a second half performance as Georgia has had in other games, but at the end of the day it was good enough to get the job done and that's all that matters. And Murray, like most Georgia fans, were not surprised to see this game play out that way.
