Georgia football’s full attention might be on Ole Miss right now as they prepare to take on the Rebels, but UGA can’t forget about their recruits either. The Bulldogs have already lost one commit this week, and Alabama is doing everything they can to make it two.
Three-star EDGE Corey Howard has been committed to Georgia since the end of June. The Crimson Tide however are looking to change that this weekend as Howard is taking an official visit to Alabama for their matchup against Tennessee.
The Crimson Tide appear to be doing everything they can to flip Howard from Georgia as well because they’ve called on quarterback Ty Simpson to help in the recruiting effort.

Howard received an offer from Alabama last month and is on campus for the second time this fall.

Alabama QB Ty Simpson is attempting to flip a Georgia commit
Simpson already did enough damage to Georgia earlier this season during the Crimson Tide’s 24-21 win over the Bulldogs in Athens. Simpson threw for nearly 300 yards and two touchdowns in Alabama’s big win a few weeks ago, and this was enough for Georgia fans to not like Simpson the rest of the season.
But Simpson doesn’t seem done terrorizing Georgia fans quite yet because he has put his recruiting hat on as he tries to steal Howard from UGA.
Georgia already lost one commit this week when linebacker Shadarius Toodle flipped to Auburn. But Alabama and Simpson are looking to hand Georgia another loss on the recruiting trail, and if anyone can beat UGA for a recruit it most definitely is the Crimson Tide.
Up to this point Howard hasn’t shown any signs of questioning his commitment to Georgia, but this visit to Alabama is a dangerous one. And if the Crimson Tide are using Simpson to help recruit him then that will only make it more difficult for Georgia to keep his commitment.
Time will tell if this plan works for Alabama or not, but this is a recruitment Georgia fans should be very concerned about.
