Auburn football just found a new form of success vs Georgia

Apparently Georgia's win over Auburn wasn't good enough for one of UGA's commits.

Georgia football is only three days removed from their win over Auburn, but the Tigers have already found a new way to boast about their success over UGA. While Georgia is the team that won on the field, it is Auburn who is getting the last laugh on the recruiting trail as four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle just flipped his commitment from Georgia to the Tigers.

Auburn caught stealing from Georgia on the recruiting trail

Toodle is a four-star linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class from Mobile, AL. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Toodle is the No. 250 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 14 ranked linebacker and the No. 13 overall player from the state of Alabama as well.

Toodle had been committed to Georgia since June 22. He immediately became one of the top recruits in Georgia's class and someone who could have found a lot of success in Athens. But that unfortunately will no longer be the case as he has decided to flip his commitment to Auburn.

Losing a commit is bad news under any circumstance, but losing a commit to Auburn is about as bad as it gets. But this loss is taken to another level because Toodle was already committed to Auburn earlier in his recruitment. Georgia originally flipped Toodle from Auburn back in June, but he unfortunately began showing some bad signs this season and has now changed his mind once again and is back with the Tigers.

The timing of this decision is quite funny because Georgia just got done putting the finishing touches on their ninth straight victory over Auburn this past weekend. But apparently winning on the field doesn't matter as much to Toodle because hs is choosing to go to the program who has forgotten how to beat Georgia.

Either way, Auburn will get to celebrate this recruiting win, but Georgia fans shouldn't worry too much because they still have the better overall class and are the far better program on the field where it matters most.
