The Georgia Bulldogs are ready to hit the road to take on the No. 1 team in the country in the Texas Longhorns. The game has the attention of the entire college football world as it will air in the prime time ABC slot at 7:30 pm EST. College GameDay is also in Texas this week as well, which will add even more juice to a game that already has plenty of it.

Those of us watching the game at home will get to listen to a very familiar crew call the game Saturday night. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be on the call with Holly Rowe as the crew's sideline reporter.

Georgia enters this game with a 5-1 (3-1) recrod and riding a two game win streak after knocking off Auburn and Mississippi State at home. The No. 5 Bulldogs lone loss came on the road at Alabama 41-34 in a game that should prepare UGA very well for this showdown with Texas.

Texas on the other hand enters this game with a perfect 6-0 (2-0) record while also holding the No. 1 ranking in the AP Pol. The Longhorns haven't played the strongest schedule to date, but they do have two more than solid wins against Michigan and Oklahoma already this sesaon.

Texas holds a 4-1 advantage in the all time series between these two historic programs. This includes a 1-0 record with Kirby Smart as head coach for Georgia whent the Longhorns beat UGA 28-21 in the 2019 Sugar Bowl.

It's going to be tough for Georgia to pull of the upset Saturday night. DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium will be rocking, but I think the Bulldogs will be ready to make a statement and shock the world.

So here's to hoping that Georiga is able to earn their second win over Texas in their history, while also jumping out to a 1-0 record against the Longhorns as SEC opponents.
