Georgia football is just days away from their first rivalry matchup of the season against the Auburn Tigers. The Bulldogs enter this game at 4-1 after a dominant win against Kentucky while the Tigers limp into this matchup losing their last two games.

The entire college football world will have their eyes on this game as it will be played on ABC in primetime at 7:30 pm EST. Now the final piece of the puzzle has been announced as the TV crew calling this game is official.

Georgia vs. Auburn announcers set for annual rivalry matchup

Georgia and Auburn unsurprisingly will have one of the top TV crews calling their game. Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy will lead the crew in the booth while Molly McGrath will be adding her analysis from the sideline.

Georgia is the favorite entering this matchup, but it’s not by much. The Bulldogs opened as 4.5 point favorites, but that line quickly shifted to 3.5 after just 24 hours. It’s unclear why Vegas is high on the Tigers, but it is clear that they think this is going to be an extremely close game.

Georgia has won each of the last eight meetings against Auburn dating all the way back to the 2017 SEC Championship game. The Bulldogs will look to make it nine straight victories against Auburn, who enters this game as deserpate as ever before. The Tigers already have two conference losses this season, so one more loss means they’ll miss out on the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoff once again.

But Georgia is very desperate as well because one more loss would put them in a dangerous spot this season as well. So the fact that both teams need to win this game just adds to the excitement that will continue to build until the opening kick takes place in five more days.
