It has become very clear what position Georgia football and Kirby Smart are targeting the most on the recruiting trial in the 2026 cycle. There are many positions that are obviously extremely important, but offensive tackle is potentially the most important. And that is the position that Georgia has been recently prioritizing the most.
The Bulldogs recently got some good news from the No. 2 ranked offensive tackle in the country, but the great news didn't stop there as the Bulldogs officially made the top eight for another elite offensive tackle.

4-star OT Felix Ojo
Felix Ojo is a four-star offensive tackle from Mansfield, TX. According to 247Sports, Ojo is the No. 29 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 4 overall player from Texas and the No. 6 ranked offensive tackle in the 2026 class as well.
Ojo announced who his top eight schools are on Thursday, and Georgia made the cut according to Hayes Fawcett with On3. Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida, Oklahoma and Ole Miss also made the top eight for Ojo along with the Bulldogs.
This is clearly a recruitment that Smart and his staff will push hard for, but as it stands today Georgia has some ground to make up if they want to win this recruitment. No official predictions have been made in Ojo's recruitment yet, but On3 currently names Texas as the heavy favorite to win this battle. This really doesn't come as that much of a surprise since they are the only in-state school in Ojo's top eight, but it is a little frustrating to be trailing one of Georgia's biggest competitors in the SEC.
Texas is the only school with a scheduled official visit with Ojo so far, so hopefully Georgia is able to swoop in and schedule a visit as well so they can try to make up some ground on the Longhorns.
