There's a lot that every team in the NFL could learn from the Philadelphia Eagles after they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs and were crowned Super Bowl Champions. But the thing that every organization needs to realize the most is that good things will happen when you have former Georgia football players on you team.
The Eagles had six players on their roster who played college football at Georgia, with most of them being part of both recent National Championship teams. So they proved this season why drafting UGA players is the right choice.
Considering most Georgia fans are also fans of the Atlanta Falcons, UGA fans were pretty upset that the Falcons didn't get their hands on former Bulldogs in recent years. That however can change this year with the NFL Draft quickly approaching.
Expert mock drafts will change a lot in these next two months before the NFL Draft gets here, but one of the most respected experts just predicted the Falcons to select Georgia defensive lineman Mykel Williams with their first round draft pick.
Williams predicted to land with the Falcons
Daniel Jeremiah is one of the most respected NFL Draft experts in the country, so when he predicts a player could go to a certain organization there's a decent chance it could end up happening. So the fact that Williams could land with the Falcons should excite every Atlanta fan.
Williams just finished his third season with Georgia where he recored 21 tackles which included a whopping five sacks. He also forced two fumbles this season which the Falcons should love seeing as well.
It's impossible to know how any player will translate to the NFL, but Georgia has a rich history of former defensive lineman finding a lot of success in the league as seen with the Eagles this year. So if Williams is still on the board when it's time for the Falcons to make their pick, it should be a fairly easy choice for them to make.
