Georgia football fans are used to seeing former Bulldogs dominate in the NFL each and every season. And that once again happened with many players throughout the league this year. But the one player who potentially had the best season is tight end Brock Bowers, who had a monster season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Bowers finished his impressive rookie season with 112 receptions, 1,194 yards and five touchdowns. This season is clearly phenomenal, but the better word to describe this season is historic because it set the record for the most receptions by a rookie in NFL history.

These stats and Bowers' season as a whole was good enough for Bowers to be named one of the five finalists for the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year Award which was just awarded this past week. Unfortunately for Bowers, he came up just short from winning this award as he came in second place behind Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Bowers is going to be a force in the NFL for years to come

While it is unfortunate to see Browers miss out on this award, there really isn't an argument for him to win over Daniels. The star rookie QB led the Commanders to the NFC Championship game after a very good season of his own.

However, losing this award does not impact how great of a career it appears Bowers is going to have. Bowers already showed that he was one of the best tight ends in the NFL this past season, and it could just be a matter of time until he is the consensus No. 1 tight end in the league. And if he keeps that up, there will be a serious discussion to have about him becoming the greatest tight end in the history of the NFL.

That may sound crazy to say, but Bowers is that gifted of a player where it is more than possible.
