Brock Bowers is keeping himself very busy during his first official NFL offseason. From optional training camps to finishing his college degree, he now has yet another event on his calendar. Bowers has "committed" to Tight End University this summer, a three-day immersive program geared towards tight ends.

Tight End University was started by the power three tight ends over the last decade, Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen, who felt that the position could use a little something extra. This event is a three-day camp in which every attendee is able to work with other tight ends in the league, learn, and even put their skills to work, among other things. This event features both current and former players in the league, and the 2025 event will be the fifth program to take place since starting in 2021.

Bowers did not attend the event last season after being drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round, so this will be his first experience with the unique program. Bowers is getting ready to start his second season in the NFL this fall, where he will look to build on his historic rookie season.

Brock Bowers is working hard to become the NFL's next big star

Something that every player who had a big rookie season can be afraid of is hitting their sophomore slump in their second season. Bowers had an amazing rookie season, where he set NFL records for most receptions by a rookie tight end, set by Lions tight end Sam LaPorta a season before with 112, and passed Hall of Famer Mike Ditka for most receiving yards by a rookie tight end with 1,194 and most receptions by an NFL rookie with 112 as well, surpassing Puca Nacua also from the season before.

That is a lot to accomplish in just one season in the NFL, especially with a team that struggles so much in the quarterback position. Bowers was the go-to guy for the Raiders, and with a little more muscle on the offense with drafting running back Ashton Jeanty, Bowers could somehow be open even more in 2025.

Bowers has the opportunity to be the next big tight end star in the NFL, especially with star tight ends George Kittle and Travis Kelce beginning to get later in their careers. Bowers will have to battle for that top spot with other great young tight ends like LaPorta or Arizona's Trey McBride.

Don't be surprised if Bowers completely goes off again in the 2025 NFL season, and he might even use some skills he learned from Tight End University.
