Star Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers suffered a knee injury during the Raiders first game of the season against the New England Patriots. Bowers was off to a magnificent start in this game, but that all came crashing to an end after he went down with this injury.
The Raiders evaluated Bowers in their medical tent and ultimately chose to keep him out for the rest of the game. This was clearly very concerning because Bowers not only is one of the Raiders best players, but he was voted the No. 1 tight end in the NFL this offseason. So losing Bowers for any amount of time would be terrible for the Raiders outlook this season.
Thankfully Bowers confirmed with NFL Network's Tom Pelissero immediately after the game that his injury is not significant and there are no concerns moving forward.
Just talked to #Raiders TE Brock Bowers and he says he’s fine. Took a little hit on the knee, came out to get checked out. No concerns moving forward.

Crucial Brock Bowers injury update
Before this injury occurred, Bowers was having yet another impressive game. Bowers so far had recorded five receptions and a team high 103 receiving yards to help build an early lead for the Raiders. It didn't look like anything was going to stop him, that is until this knee injury occurred.
Thankfully Georgia and Las Vegas fans alike have nothing to worry about as Bowers himself confirmed there are no long term injury concerns for him moving forward.
The Raiders did not have a great season in 2024 as they finished with a 4-13 record which was six games back from the third place Denver Broncos in the AFC West standings. So even though Bowers had a remarkable rookie season, he was not able to enjoy any team success.
That however might be changing this season as the Raiders were able to hold on and beat the Patriots 20-13 in Bowers absence.
Up next for the Raiders are the Los Angeles Chargers who they will host on Monday Night Football on Sep. 15. This will be Bowers first chance to show that he is in fact healthy, and if he is he likely will be lighting up the Chargers secondary all night long.
