Brock Bowers is one of Georgia fans favorite players in the NFL. That was especially the case after his return from injury last week when he exploded for one of the best games of his career.

Expectations across the NFL are sky high for Bowers every time he takes the field, and he more than deserves to have those expectations. Unfortunately he did not live up to them on Thursday Night Football as he only caught one pass in the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Brock Bowers poor performance cost football fans serious money

Everyone has a bad game from time to time so there is no need to panic, but a lot of football fans across the country woke up Friday morning checking their bank accounts and realizing that Bowers cost them some serious money.

The above post states that prop bets on Bowers during Thursday Night Football were one of the most popular bets of the night. And knowing that the public perception of Bowers is so strong, the public was likely betting on Bowers to hit the over in both passing yards and receptions. There were likely even a lot of bets plaed on him to score a touchdown as well.

Unfortunately Bowers did not hit the over in any potential bet fans could have placed on him as one catch for 31 yards won't cut it. He also failed to find the end zone during this game as well.

Football fans losing money is probably the last thing on Bowers mind right now because no NFL player should care about the bets people place on them. But Bowers is likely very disappointed in his performance Thrusday night and wants nothing more than to turn this season around.

It might be a little too late for that to happen for the Raiders as this loss dropped them to 2-7, but Bowers can turn his individual season around and remind everyone why many believe he is the best tight end in the NFL right now.
