Carson Beck clearly has no regrets about leaving Georgia and transferring to Miami. And why should he? He’s playing for a national title while UGA is sitting at home watching what would be their worst nightmare unfold.
But instead of focusing on the task at hand, Beck continues to talk about Georgia. And this time he went below the belt as he continues to kick UGA while they’re down.
"You made one of the best decisions of your life," Beck said via ugawire.usatoday.com. "And honestly back then that was impossible to see. I was sitting in a brace. I couldn't bend or straighten my elbow, better yet, throw a football. And to be in the moment and have this opportunity, I am so grateful. I am so thankful that, you know, God has blessed me in this way and given me this opportunity to play quarterback."
Carson Beck continues bashing Georgia any chance he gets
Beck has a great appreciation for what he has overcome in the last 14 months. Going from his injury in the 2024 SEC Championship game to playing for a National Championship is nothing short of spectacular, and he absolutely should be proud of that.
But instead of just enjoying that journey he just had to mention for what feels like the millionth time that he is happy he left Georgia.
Beck is a great story, and capping his career off with a championship would be the perfect ending to his college career. But Indiana is the far better story. The Hoosiers are one of the losingest programs of all time, so it doesn’t get any better than seeing a team like that win it all.
Georgia fans will absolutely be cheering for that to happen on Monday because they are such a great story, but they also don’t want to see Beck win a national title with the Hurricanes either.
