Former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck took center stage at ACC Media Days on Tuesday. Beck unsurprisingly talked about his time at Georgia quite a lot, but the most interesting statement he made is that he believes transferring to Miami (FL) was one of the best decisions of his life.
"This is my future, and I think this is one of the best decisions I have made."

Carson Beck does not regret his decision to leave Georgia
It really shouldn't be that surprising to find out that Beck doesn't have any regrets leaving Miami. Even if he did he certainly would never share that information publicly. But even though his time at Georgia is complete, it is quite strange to hear him already say this was one of the best decisions of his life.
Did Beck already forget all the success he found during his time at Georgia? Sure he didn't play during the two National Championship seasons, but he was on the roster for both seasons and has two championship rings from those accomplishments. On top of that, he helped lead UGA as their starting quarterback to an undefeated regular season in 2023 while also playing a huge role in UGA's SEC Championship season last year.
If Miami goes on to win the ACC or a National Championship this season then this statement from Beck would make a lot more sense. But the fact that he already feels this was the best decision of his life before even playing a down of football for the Hurricanes is a wild thing to say.
Time will tell if this decision works out for Beck or not, but if Miami struggles this season while Georgia has another great year Beck may start thinking that his decision to head south to Miami was one of the worst decisions of his life.
