Former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck suffered the first loss of his career with the Miami Hurricanes Friday night. Miami welcomed an unranked Louisville squad to their home field in a game no one expected to even be close, but Louisville took control of the game from the opening kickoff and emerged victorious with a 24-21 win after a dominant defensive effort.
Speaking of Louisville's defense, they made Beck look like the version of himself that Georgia fans became all too familiar with during his career in Athens. Up to this point Beck was one of the frontrunners to win the Heisman Trophy, but the Louisville defense forced four interceptions from Beck Friday night and that sent Beck's Hesiman Trophy odds plummeting.

Carson Beck becomes Heisman Trophy long shot after 4 interception performance vs Louisville
Vegas oddsmakers actually gave Beck the best odds to win the Heisman Trophy before his matchup with Louisville on Friday at +350. Those odds however quickly changed after Miami's loss Friday night because of the horrific performance from Beck.
Beck finished the night completing 25 of 35 passes for 271 yards. He did not throw a touchdown during this game, but that doesn't automatically mean he played bad. See Gunner Stockton's performance against Auburn last week. Stockton played very well in that game and helped lead Georgia to their comeback victory even though he didn't throw a touchdown pass either. But the difference is that Stockton did not throw an interception while Beck threw four against Louisville.
Georgia fans knew a performance like this was coming from Beck at some point after his struggles last season. Beck threw a whopping 12 interceptions last season with Georgia which included three games where he threw three picks. These turnovers were a big reason why Georgia's offense never hit their potential last season and why Miami failed to beat Louisville Friday night.
Beck isn't officially out of the running for the Heisman Trophy just yet, but he is going to have to be perfect the rest of the season. And based on his track record, that is unlikely to happen.
