Carson Beck had a lot of infamous moments during his career at Georgia. Being caught joking on the sideline during their loss to Ole Miss last season definitely stands out, but there were a few other times where Beck was caught embarrassing himself for something going off the field.
That trend has unfortunately followed Beck to Miami and came back to life during his postgame press conference after the Hurricanes overtimes loss to SMU. Instead of taking the blame for the loss which he more than should have, Beck decided to call out his coaching staff for not calling good enough plays.

Carson Beck finds a new way to embarrass himself at Miami
No quarterback should be blaming other people after a heartbreaking loss. That is the last thing any true leader should be doing after suffering a loss to any opponent, especially one that no one expected to win. But that is what Beck decided to do.
Beck blaming his coaches however is quite ironic after he threw an interception during overtime. How can he not accept blame after he cost Miami in the biggest moment of the game?
While this moment doesn’t directly impact Georgia, it’s hard to not be thankful that he is no longer in Athens after hearing this quote. Georgia fans would never catch Gunner Stockton saying anything like this. Whether a loss was his fault or not, he would never blame a teammate or a coach. Instead he would say how he needs to play better and how Georgia as a whole needs to execute more, he would not call out any one person no matter what.
But the same apparently can’t be said for Beck. And the fact he has this attitude off the field is why Georgia fans should never feel upset that he left Athens for Miami.
