The amount of worry for Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has hit an all time high. Georgia football fans are not afraid to voice their concerns about their QB, and there's a lot of good reasons why they should be worried.
Beck is coming off back-to-back three interception games, which even in wins is not acceptable. Georgia is playing for something far greater than any one regular season win, so the Bulldogs need to be as sharp as possible and show improvement throughout the season in order to accomplish their goals.
However, even though Georgia fans are losing a little faith in Beck, with some even questioning if he should be replaced, it's clear that Beck's teammates aren't losing any faith in him.
Belief in Beck has not wavered in the locker room
Georgia tight end Ben Yurosek shared the above quote earlier this week about how the entire team still believes in Beck and has not doubted even for a second that he is the right man for the job. And at the end of the day, that is all that truly matters.
Georgia fans can be as upset or as worried as they want to be, which based on the evidence of this season so far they have every right to be, but all that matters is how they guys in the locker room feel. And in all honesty, Beck deserves this belief.
Beck has only lost two games in his Georgia career, both coming against Alabama. The first was in the SEC Championship game last season and then about a month ago in the regular sesaon. Now while last year's loss was especially brutal because it kept Georgia out of the College Football Playoffs, it showed just how close Beck was to leading UGA to the CFP for the third season in a row.
Sure Beck has regressed some this season, but he is still playing good enough to win. Kirby Smart even added some perspective on how Beck hasn't actually been as bad this season as people think.
So at the end of the day, the belief in Beck is clearly there in the locker room, and that's all that matters. Hopefully this pays off for Georgia in the long run, and Beck starts to play a lot better beginning this Saturday against Ole Miss.
