One of the biggest stories of the offseason for Georgia was when Carson Beck made the decision to transfer to Miami (FL). This decision has been dissected as much as possible at this point, but with ESPN's College GameDay at Miami on Saturday the crew spent a portion of their show talking to Beck about this decision.

Beck specifically spoke with Desmond Howard about this move and explained that he has no bad feelings towards Georgia. He shared that he ultimately was just looking for a fresh start and it was Miami that he felt gave him the best opportunity at that.

“I had been at Georgia for five years, and I’m super appreciative for my time there," Beck shared via dawgnation.com. “But I just think there’s always a shelf-life on things, and I think it was time for a fresh start for me, and that’s what ultimately led to me coming down here to Miami

Carson Beck is living his best life at Miami

Beck found a lot of success at Georgia which includes a 24-3 record as a starter and helping win the 2024 SEC Championship. And while it sounds like a part of him may always love and respect Georgia, he has been living his best life at Miami so far.

Beck and Miami are off to an impressive 4-0 start which includes a win over Notre Dame, a ranked USF team and most recently a 26-7 victory over Florida on Saturday.

So far this season Beck has completed 82 of 112 passes (73.2 percent) for 972 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions. Beck has even found the end zone on the ground this season one time as well.

The Hurricanes are beginning their first bye week of the season before they have another monster showdown. On Oct. 4 Miami will travel to Florida State to take on a top 10 Seminoles team. That will be Miami's last big game of the season, so if they can survive there is a good chance they could run the table and enter the ACC Championship game at 12-0.

Regardless, Beck and Miami look like a guaranteed playoff team, so there is a chance Georgia could line up against Beck and the Hurricanes later this season. Now that would be a fun game.
