The biggest injury everyone is talking about in the college football world is Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck, who is reportedly likely to be out for UGA's entire College Football Playoff run. This clearly is a big loss for Kirby Smart and Georgia, but it is one they can overcome as they have more than enough time to get backup Gunner Stockton ready to go.
But Beck isn't the only star player who will miss the Sugar Bowl as Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman announced on Monday that star defensive lineman Rylie Mills will be out for the Sugar Bowl as well.
ND head coach Marcus Freeman says star Irish defensive lineman Riley Mills is out for the season

Big blow for ND ahead of the Sugar Bowl
Notre Dame defensive lineman Rylie Mills
Mills is an absolute star on the Notre Dame defense. This season for the Irish, Mills has recorded 37 tackles and a whopping 7.5 sacks. Similarly to Beck, a team really can't replace someone that talented who is having this good of a season, so the Irish defense will be a little worse without Mills along the defensive line.
While no one should ever want to see a player get injured even on an opponent's team, this news does benefit Georgia a lot. It's no secret that Georgia is going to have more difficulties on offense this game with Stockton starting instead of Beck, so knowing there is one less Irish defender that can wreck this game is huge for the UGA offense. So whether it be Stockton dropping back for a pass or the UGA running backs getting active in the run game, Mills absence will help the team immensely.
Even though this news does benefit Georgia a lot, this will not make this game an easy win. The Bulldogs are going to have to show up and be ready to play, because Notre Dame will still be one of the best defenses they have faced this season even without Mills. But hopefully this news makes Georgia's life on offense easy enough so they can come away with a win at the Sugar Bowl.
