Where would Georgia be without Zachariah Branch? The star receiver came to Georgia this offseason from USC, and the rest has been history.
Branch has been the best and most consistent receiver for Georgia so far this season as he has racked up 74 catches for 744 yards and five touchdowns. This undoubtedly makes him one of the best transfers Georgia has brought in not just this year but in the history of the Transfer Portal era.
Unfortunately not everyone thinks that way as CBS Sports isn't as high on Branch entering the College Football Playoff as they should be.
CBS Sports isn't giving Zachariah Branch enough credit
CBS Sports released their top 25 transfers in the playoff, and Branch was included at No. 19. While being included on this list in general is nice to see, he absolutely deserves to be much higher.
Branch is on pace to make history during Georgia's first playoff game. His 74 receptions is just three shy of setting the single season record at Georgia, so all he needs is four catches and he will rewrite the history books. So how he is not ranked higher knowing he has had one of the best seasons in Georgia football history at wide receiver?
The good news is that he will have every chance to prove these rankings wrong. Branch has been Gunner Stockton's No. 1 target this season, so there is a chance he explodes for a monster game during the playoff and quickly becomes one of the most talked about players. And knowing how special he has been all season, he more than likely will show how wrong this list is in Georgia's first playoff game on Jan. 1.
However, there is one good thing about this list and that is the fact that Branch is ranked one spot higher than Carson Beck.
