Now that was about as bad as the first half could have gone for Georgia football. The Bulldogs trail Florida 13-6 at the end of the first half, and that's with Florida playing two freshman QBs.
The Florida offense under DJ Lagway was having their way with the Bulldogs' defense at times, but for the most part they played alright. But then new Gators' QB Aidan Warner was able to lead a last second drive to end the half with a field goal.
But the biggest concern for Georgia in the first half was the play they got out of Carson Beck.
Beck finished the first half completing 13 of 25 passes for 167 yards. That completion percentage is not great, but that is a solid amount of yards for one half of football. However, the problem that has become far too common with Beck this season is his decision making and turnovers.
At this point it is impossible to defend Beck because of how hideous some of his throws are. Everyone sees it, and the college football world made sure to point that out on social media during the first half.

Where does Georgia go now?
Is Georgia at the point where they should look at making a QB change? Maybe, but that might not be the best decision to make during the middle of the game. But it is something Kirby Smart will have to consider after this game.
But if Georgia rides with Beck the rest of this game, they need to make a lot of changes. First, Georgia needs to get back to running the ball more. Everyone knows that Georgia loves to throw the football, but with Beck struggling so much that just makes it easy for the defense to sit back and let Beck continue to make mistakes.
Beck however needs to take ownership of his mistakes and correct them in a hurry. He is telegraphing too many throws and trying to force the issue when nothing is there. There is absolutely nothing wrong with just throwing the ball away or using his legs to pick up a couple yards. Both outcomes are a lot better than throwing an interception.
Georgia is in big trouble. They are down seven and Florida has all the momentum. The Bulldogs' defense will likely keep them in the game, but can Beck and the UGA offense rebound in the second half?
This could be a long season if they do not.
