The college football season is over and now the only thing most people want to talk about is next season. Whether that be predicting how Georgia football will do or looking at their odds at winning a National Championship, UGA fans are curious and excited to see how next season goes.
But there is another award that is fun to discuss, and that is the Heisman Trophy. And yes, odds for the winner of the 2025 Heisman have already been released. Two Bulldogs found themselves included in these early odds, but there is another player that every Georgia fan will likely monitor next season. And that is former quarterback Carson Beck.
Usually Georgia fans won't track how players outside of Georgia are doing, but that likely will change with Beck and Miami (FL) next season. As one would assume, Beck was also included in the Heisman odds for next season on FanDuel Sportsbook, but how do his odds compare to Gunner Stockton who was also included?
Carson Beck has better odds than Gunner Stockton
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Stockton has the 15th best odds in the country to win the Hesiman next season at +3300. These are still pretty long odds to win the award, but it is pretty good for someone who has never been a full time starter.
Beck on the other hand has slightly better odds than Stockton at +2000. These are the ninth best odds in the country, which isn't much better than Stockton.
While Georgia fans will hope and pray that Stockton has a better season than Beck, it is hard to argue with Beck having better odds to win the Heisman right now. Beck has infinitely more experience than Stockton at the college level, and Miami is coming off a season where their QB made the top four in Heisman voting. So as of now, it is definitely more likely that Beck wins this award than Stockton.
However, anything is possible once the season begins later this fall. Stockton will have his chance to prove he is a better player than Beck, and Georgia fans want nothing more than for him to do just that.
