Georgia football is in the middle of their second official visit recruiting weekend of June. Entering this weekend, the Bulldogs have the No. 6 overall 2026 recruiting class in the country as well as the top ranked class in the SEC. While that clearly is a great spot to be, there are some reasons to be concerned as this second recruiting weekend is coming to an end.

For the second weekend in a row, Georgia is simultaneously hosting nearly 20 recruits on official visits. This typically means that a lot of news about these visitors will come out during and after these visits this weekend.

But that is where the concern is coming from for Georgia fans, because there has been almost no news so far this weekend from Georgia football insiders.

Lack of recruiting news is a problem

The argument can be made that it’s far too early to be worried about the recruiting taking place this weekend. Most of the nearly 20 official visits will wrap up on Sunday, so it’s hard to judge anything before the visits are even complete.

But this time last weekend, Georgia was receiving great news surrounding the recruitments of many of their official visitors. This included earning a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Carter Luckie as well.

But up to this point, there has been no commitment this weekend or intel of any kind posted on social media. The only information that has been posted about this weekends visitors is about a class of 2027 tight end, who isn’t the main focus of the weekend anyways.

The hope is that this concern is just an overreaction and exciting intel will be made known very soon about Georgia’s weekend visitors. But it’s impossible to ignore the radio silence so far this weekend and what that could mean for Kirby Smart and his 2026 recruiting class.
