Conflicting information makes Georgia's status with 5-star RB unknown

Saturday an unfortunate update was released regarding the recruitment for five-star running back Kemon Spell. After decommitting from Penn State a few months ago, a new crystal ball prediction was placed on 247Sports in favor of the Nittany Lions. This prediction was made after there was a lot of hope coming from Georgia and Notre Dame after he originally decommitted, so it made it seem like Penn State was back in front.

This crystal ball prediction however may not be entirely accurate as On3 released an update on Sunday making it very clear that they believe Georgia is actually the team to beat.

On3 and 247Sports disagree on Georgia's standing with 5-star Kemon Spell

The above update from On3 is as clear as possible. They believe that Georgia is "the team to beat at the moment" even after 247Sports' latest prediction in favor of Penn State.

So what's going on here? Who is the team to beat? Is Gerogia actually Spell's No. 1 school right now or is Penn State back in front once again?

At this point it is impossible to say. Georgia fans will hold onto this report from On3 and believe that it is 100 percent true while Penn State will believe the update from 247Sports. In reality though if both sites are saying two completely different things than no one can be confident with who is right and who is wrong. So Georgia could be Spell's top team right now, but so too could Penn State.

Spell plans on taking a few official visits later this year, and it will be those visits that will likely determine if Georgia wins this recruitment or not. But for now it looks like they have a great chance to come out on top, but it's unclear if they are the No. 1 team right now.
