Every college football fan knows how fast things can change in recruiting nowadays, but the roller coaster Georgia just went on with one of their commits might have set a record for fastest updates of all time.
Brady Marchese is a four star wide receiver who is the No. 250 overall player in the country, according to the 247Spprts composite rankings. He also is the No. 42 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 29 overall player from the state of Georgia.
Marchese is one of Georgia’s top commits in the 2026 class as he made his pledge to UGA back on March 15. Until today, he seemed 100 percent locked in with the Bulldogs, and that was the case even after an official visit to Michigan on May 30. That visit appeared to go extremely well, because On3’s Steve Wiltfong made a prediction Tuesday afternoon for Marchese to flip to Michigan.
That caused Georgia fans to panic for a few hours, but Marchese came out and cleared the air with On3’s Hayes Fawcett Thursday night, saying that he is in fact not going to flip to Michigan.

Georgia will reportedly be holding on to commitment from Brady Marchese
It's impossible for Georgia fans to know exactly what happened on Tuesday to cause this back and forth news. Wiltfong is one of the most respected recruiting experts in the country, so when he makes a prediction it tends to be right. There is a chance he was just flat out wrong by saying Marchese was going to flip to Michigan, but there is another alternative.
There's also a chance that Kirby Smart and his staff picked up the phone to convince Marchese to stick with Georgia after hearing this news. Maybe they increased their NIL offer for Marchese, or maybe they knew the right things to say to him to keep him with UGA, regardless they must have done something right to change his mind this fast.
At the end of the day, Georgia fans shouldn't care what went down to change Marchese's mind. He is officially sticking with Georgia and will more than likely officially sign with UGA's recruiting class in December.
