In a matter of a few days, Georgia football will learn their fate with the No. 1 quarterback in the country. Jared Curtis has been back and forth between UGA and Oregon for a few months now, but his final decision will be here soon as he will announce his commitment on May 5.
Most experts expected Curtis to drop a commitment post on social media to announce where he is going, but that is no longer the case. Curtis will now announce his commitment on May 5 at 5:30 pm EST at an assembly at his school.
The Jared Curtis decision is almost here—and DawgNation will be live in Nashville for it.

What does this mean for Georgia?
This update doesn't really change anything for Georgia. If anything this will stress out UGA fans even more than before as Curtis will be doing the infamous hat dance now, but this doesn't impact Georgia's chances at winning this recruitment whatsoever.
So how good are Georgia's chances at winning this recruitment?
The above post indicates that UGA is the team to beat, and other college football experts have indicated the same as well. But recent developments on the recruiting trail point towards Georgia being the favorite as well.
Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo visited Curtis at his home on Wednesday, something Oregon has not yet done since coaches were allowed to visit with recruits again. The Ducks however will visit Curtis in Tennessee on May 4, one day before he announces his commitment.
But Bobo and Georgia are going out of their way to visit Curtis again on May 4, directly after his visit with Oregon. Now if that doesn't show Curtis how badly Georgia wants him, then nothing will.
Curtis was once a Georgia commit before he decommitted from the program towards the end of last year. One of the hardest things to do in recruiting is earn a commitment from the same player a second time, which is what Georgia is attempting to do with Curtis. But it's looking like UGA has a great chance at accomplishing just that, but Georgia fans will have to wait a few more days to find out if they end up on top with Curtis.
