Georgia football has a big challenge in front of them when they play Ole Miss on Thursday in the College Football Playoff. Their offense will have a lot of confidence after dominating the Rebels in their first meeting, but the Georgia defense has a lot to prove.

The Rebels offense controlled the first three quarters during the first matchup earlier this season, and if it wasn't for the heroics of Georgia's offense Ole Miss likely would've won that game. David Pollack is someone who understands the challenge that Georgia will face during this game on defense, and he challenged both Kirby Smart and the UGA defense to play much better this time around.

Georgia thankfully got the eight point win against Ole Miss earlier this season, but the defense did not pull their weight. The Bulldogs defense did play very well in the fourth quarter, but before that Ole Miss scored a touchdown on their first five possessions of the game. That thankfully didn't cost Georgia, but they can't allow that many points this time around.

Pollack however is challenging Georgia to play much better because he articulated that the Ole Miss offense is the perfect style to beat UGA. No one can run the ball with success against Georgia, but when an offense plays with a fast tempo and spreads the field they can find success. That is the exact style that Ole Miss uses and why they found so much success during the first game.

The hope is that Georgia's offense will find just as much success in this game like the first meeting, that way they don't need to rely on their defense. But it would be nice for the defense to play well so UGA can hopefully coast to an easy victory.
