Earlier this week Georgia lost defensive analyst Will Muschamp to the Texas Longhorns who will become their next Defensive Coordinator. While it may not seem like a big deal to lose an off the field analyst, Muschamp is one of the best defensive minds in all of college football. So the fact that he is going to a major player in the SEC in Texas is not great for Georgia.
Everyone has had an opinion about this news, and that includes David Pollack who made it clear that he thinks this is bad news for Georgia.
Will Muschamp returning to @TexasFootball is exactly what the Longhorns needed.

Will Muschamp to Texas could be the end of Georgia's SEC dominance
Pollack made his thoughts very clear about Texas hiring Muschamp. He believes this is the perfect hire for them and that this could be exactly what they need to get over the hump in the SEC.
Since they joined the SEC two years ago, Texas has not been able to win the conferece like they expected to by now. Georgia is the biggest reason for that because they beat the Longhorns in the SEC Championship game last season and dominated them at home this year as well. But Muschamp could be the piece of the puzzle that takes them to the top of the SEC.
It was just a matter of time until Muschamp left Georgia for a job as a Defensive Coordinator. Even though he held that title for two years at Georgia, he was not going to be taking that role from Glenn Schumann, so if he wanted that job he would have to look elsewhere and Texas made him an offer UGA couldn't.
If what Pollack believes comes true then Texas will be competing for SEC Championships every year. They likely will even win a few in the coming years as well. Georgia however is going to do everything they can to prevent that from happening, but Pollack thinks UGA could be in serious trouble.
