Typically one would assume that anyone with ties to Georgia would be confident in UGA football entering every season. That however is not the case this year with former Georgia superstar David Pollack who predicted the Bulldogs to finish with a record no one would be satisfied with.

"I think it's nine and three," Pollack shared via ugawire.usatoday.com. "Like, I think they take a little bit of a step back. I think there's too many unknowns to say, (that) I'm going to guarantee 10 and two, but I've done it for years and we've always said we're not worried."

David Pollack is not confident in Georgia this season

There are a lot of reasons why Pollack could be right and Georgia could struggle this season. The biggest reason is UGA's schedule because they face tough contests against Tennessee, Alabama and Texas this year. Even Georgia's games against Ole Miss and Georgia Tech could be spots where UGA could fall short as well.

First time starter Gunner Stockton has received his fair share of doubt this offseason as well. These opinions haven't been totally fair since he deserves a chance to prove himself for more than just six quarters before being judged, but his lack of experience could hurt Georgia this season.

Even though both of those things are true, the Bulldogs still have an elite team on paper this season. In fact, Georgia's blue-chip ratio is as high as it has ever been during the Kirby Smart era this season. And while Georgia's schedule is tough, they get Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss at home with Georgia Tech being played at a neutral site this season.

So is a 9-3 record this season possible? Absolutely. But the most likely outcome might be closer to 10-2 or 11-1 this year which Georgia fans would be more satisfied with.
