Dillon Bell entered the NFL Combine last weekend needing a big performance. He became a very critical player in Georgia's offense, but he never really recorded the stats that would make an NFL team really excited to draft him.
The good news for Bell is that he shined at the Combine in every way possible and put together one of the most impressive performances from a Georgia wide receiver of all time.
According to @MathBomb, Dillon Bell has the No. 2 athletic score for a #Georgia WR at the Combine since 1983.#GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/LU39E0Ca9d

Dillon Bell shined in every way he needed to at the NFL Combine
Bell is entering the NFL as a wide receiver, but everyone at Georgia knows he is a lot more than that. He has shown the ability to be effective both in the pass and run game, and that unique set of characteristics should take him really far.
Unfortunately Bell didn't quite have the stats that jump off the page, so he needed a good performance at the combine to make up for that. So what did he do? He recorded the second highest RAS score from a Georgia wide receiver in combine history.
Bell is coming off a season where he only recorded 268 receiving yards and 109 rushing yards. That is not quite good enough to wow NFL teams, and even his 466 receiving yards in 2024 don't help that much either. But his versatility can't go unnoticed as creative offensive coordinators in the NFL could really take advantage of his special set of skills.
Bell will not be taken early in the NFL Draft this summer. In fact he may not be selected until late in the draft, but one team will take a chance on him and they will not regret it. They will get a player who is capable of making big plays in more ways than most players, and it's the unique set of skills that should lead to a long NFL career.
