These are the type of individual performances you are hoping for on fall Saturdays in Athens. Only a season ago, wide receiver Dillon Bell may have had too much forced on his plate far too soon. The receiving corps did not have Colbie Young for most of it, nor did it have RaRa Thomas for the duration. Left with no choice but to step up, Bell's reps in those games are paying out in dividends.
On Saturday afternoon, he was all over the field making big things happen for the Georgia offense. He led the way in receiving with four catches for 68 yards, including arguably the best catch of his college career. On the ground, he had two carries for six yards and two touchdowns. When Georgia got the ball into Bell's hands, he delivered. This was the major confidence builder he really needed.
Here is Bell finding pay dirt for the second time on the day to put Kentucky away in the third quarter.

Against all odds, Georgia covered the massive 18.5-point spread to win this game very easily, 35-14.
Dillon Bell kept Kentucky's head ringing all afternoon long in Athens
There will come times where this kind of performance out of Bell may be required. Truth be told, Georgia does not have many opponents like Kentucky left on the schedule. So if Bell has it in him again, odds are, it is going to come against a far better opponent. Frankly, Georgia needs to understand that most of the teams left on its schedule are not going to be this listless on offense.
Even if games like this where it turns in Georgia's favor long before it is over, any experience key contributors on both sides of the ball can gain is worthwhile. Only a year ago, Bell may not have been put in the most advantageous of situations within the context of Mike Bobo's offense. While Gunner Stockton must improve his accuracy, it is not like Carson Beck threw the most catchable of footballs.
In the end, Georgia has all the talent in the world to make it back into the College Football Playoff. They do have to get healthier along the offensive line, as well as develop some semblance of a pass rush. However, not being solely reliant on one player offensively to do everything should make it that much harder for opposing defenses to defend Bell and the rest of the guys in Mike Bobo's offense.
Many players deserve gold stars from this game, but Georgia does not win this own without Bell.
