Georgia football has avoided the injury bug for the most part this season, but disaster has officially struck their offensive line room. The Bulldogs line has had to deal with a few injuries so far this season, but at this point it wasn't anything serious and Georgia had the depth to make up for it.

That depth however is going to be challenged moving forward because of another key injury suffered by fifth year senior Micah Morris.

Georgia suffers 3rd injury to starting offensive lineman

Georgia was driving towards the end of the second quarter and was looking to pull closer to Alabama. And as they were attempting to punch the ball into the end zone, Morris went down with what looked to be a knee injury.

No official word has come out about his injury yet, but it looks like he may have hyperextended his leg on the play.

Morris is the third starting offensive lineman to go down with an injury this season as true freshman Juan Gaston has been playing through an injury suffered in the season opener. Right tackle Earnest Greene has been dealing with the most significant injury of the group as well as his injury kept him sidelined against Alabama Saturday night.

Morris is someone that Georgia can't afford to lose. They do have good depth behind him, but losing someone with his experience is impossible to replace. Smart will likely comment on the status of his health later this week, but until then Georgia fans should be nervous about the future of their offensive line.

Losing to Alabama is bad enough, but losing a key starter along the way would make it even worse. So hopefully Morris will be fine so Georgia can have him back in their starting lineup next week against Kentucky.
