Gunner Stockton has been gearing up all offseason for a big season this fall. Georgia just won their second straight SEC title thanks in large part to his elite play, but the Bulldogs still fell short in the College Football Playoff once again.

Georgia fans know what Stockton is capable of. Sure he needs to improve if UGA is going to win a National Championship, but Georgia fans know that it is possible with him qurterbacking the team.

But not only do Georgia fans know this, but so too does the President of the United States.

Donald Trump is a big fan of Gunner Stockton

President Donald Trump came to the Peach State on Thursday. Awaiting for his arrival at the airport was Stockton who greeted him on the runway when he got off of his plane. The two were captured shaking hands and saying hello, and many assumed that is where their interaction would end.

But that was not the case.

President Trump gave a speech on national television soon after this moment. And while he talked about many important things giong on in the world today he also took the time to mention Stockton. When speaking about Stockton, President Trump said that he is a big star and extremely talented quarterback. That sounds a lot like what Georgia fans thinks about their QB.

President Trump was never going to say anything negative about Stockton on live TV. That is especially the case when he greeted him so openly and was standing right next to him during this speech, but he didn't have to say anything about Stockton if he didn't wany to. President Trump however went out of his way to compliment Stockton which shows just how great of a player and person he is.

President Trump likely doesn't have a lot of time to watch sports, but maybe he will tune in and become a Georgia football fan this fall.
