Last Thursday President Donald Trump came to the state of Georgia. While he was in the Peach State he met Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton and ended up spending a lot of time with him.
President Trump spoke a lot about how much he likes Stockton and how great of a player he is. He made all of these comments to the public as well which is a really cool thing for Georgia fans to see. But one thing he said stood out above the rest as he made a big prediction ahead of the 2026 season.
“You’re going to have a big year,” Trump said via ugafootballlive.com.
President Donald Trump endorses Gunner Stockton
This prediction from President Trump is about as simple as it can get, but it still speaks volumes.
President Trump didn't have to say any of this. He didn't have to say nice things about Stockton and he didn't have to predict that he would have a big season this fall either, but that is exactly what he did.
Now President Trump probably doesn't know a lot about football, so this prediction really doesn't mean all that much. But to hear the President of the United States say that he has a lot of confidence in you has to feel pretty good for Stockton.
If Georgia is going to have a big season this fall Stockton will have to improve a lot from last year. That is a tall task considering he was already one of the top players in the country, but Georgia expects to win National Championships every year and they haven't been close to that the last three years.
So every Georgia fan should be praying President Trump's prediction comes true because if Stockton does have a "big year" then there is a good chance UGA will win a National Championship.
