Every Georgia football fan by now knows who UGA’s top target at quarterback is for the 2026 recruiting class. That title goes to five-star Jared Curtis.

Curtis has a commitment date approaching and he is deciding between the Bulldogs and Oregon, but as it stands today no one is quite sure where he is leaning. So while Kirby Smart and his staff wait for Curtis’s decision, it would be wise for them to continue targeting other quarterbacks as well.

Thankfully they have been doing just that, and another top quarterback in the 2026 class just named Georgia as a finalist on Sunday.

4-star QB Bowe Bentley

Bowe Bentley is a four-star quarterback from Celina, TX. According to On3, Bentley is the No. 5 QB in the entire country.

Bentley shared a big update in his recruit on Sunday via On3's Hayes Fawcett, and that was who his stop three schools are. Georgia is one of those schools who made the cut along with LSU and Oklahoma.

Bentley also announced that he will be taking an official visit to all three schools later this summer as well. The Bulldogs will get the first visit beginning June 6 with Oklahoma and LSU hosting him the two weekends after. These three visits will likely be the deciding factor in Bentley's recruitment as he is unlikely to commit before these visits take place, so it is very important that Smart and his staff knock their visit out of the park.

Curtis will always be Georgia's first choice at QB in the 2026 class, but Bentley is a nice backup option if Georgia loses Curtis to Oregon. However, it really isn't fair to call Bentley a backup option because that is how talented he is, so ending up with Curtis or Bentley would be a big win for Georgia.
