Opinionated rankings are the best aren't they? I hope you can hear the sarcasm screaming at you through your screen as you read that because no, rankings that people publish more often than not are not fun to look at. Especially when that person is a member of the sports media world who clearly isn't ranking who the actual best teams in the country are.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to sit here and claim that Georgia is the No. 1 team in the country. Do I think they can be by the end of the season? Absolutely. But almost every Georgia football fan would tell you that this team has a lot of work to do before they earn that honor.

But all Georgia fans would also tell you that the Bulldogs are still one of the top teams in the country right now even if they aren't No. 1. So when I saw the top 25 from ESPN's Dan Mullen I couldn't help but resist pointing out how insane and flat out disrespectful it is.

That's right, Mullen has Georgia as the No. 11 team in the country. Yes I know that I am biased, but I just can't wrap my head around the Bulldogs being anywhere outside the top 10 right now, especially when you see some of the teams listed in front of them.

However, let me first prove that I am in fact not as biased as you might think and point out that some teams on this list should in fact be above Georgia. Texas, Ohio State and Alabama (even after their loss to Vanderbilt) I am completely fine with being above the Bulldogs. Even a team like Oregon and maybe even Miami I would listen to arguments for, but that's as far as I would go for teams that could be above Georgia. There is no explanation as to why the rest of the teams included above Georgia are there other than Mullen looking for attention and pushback from the fanbase.

Pitt? BYU? Iowa State? Indiana? The Hoosiers may be the most lauaghable inclusion. Sure they are 6-0 but have you seen their schedule? Gerogia would have won every game by at least 50 points if they had the Hoosiers schedule.

The best part is that even ESPN's analystics (Mullen's emplooyer) gives the Bulldogs the fourth best odds to make the College Football Playoffs this season.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for giving these teams some love especially when they are much better than they historically are, but at some point common sense needs to be used. And common sense would tell us that Georgia is not the No. 11 team in the country and is in fact closer to a top five team like the latest AP Poll rankings suggest.

Kirby Smart if you are somehow reading this I found some bulletin board material for you that should help your guys as the second half of the season gets underway.
