Every player and coach on Georgia's team deserves a lot of credit after their 35-10 win over Texas. The Bulldogs played a near perfect game and left no doubt that they are one of the best teams in the country.

But out of every player and coach on the team, it was Gunner Stockton who made the biggest statement. He announced to the college football world that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and a true Heisman Trophy contender. And he is making everyone realize how big of a mistake they made by doubting him and underrating him all season long.

Gunner Stockton has turned his biggest doubters into believers

Stockton has made it impossible for people to doubt him now. All year he has heard how no one outside of Athens believed he was good enough to lead Georgia this season. So what did he do? He led Georgia to a 7-1 record in the SEC and has his team looking like one of the best teams in the country.

Sure Stockton has had a lot of help along the way, but he has been the biggest reason why Georgia looks as good as they do. He has been so great that analysts like EPSN's Jordan Rodgers has named him one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the country.

Stockton threw four touchdowns and ran for one more against Texas on Saturday. This is the second time this year he has had a five touchdown performance against a top 10 team as he also pulled that off against Ole Miss as well. So after multiple performances like that, it should be impossible to not respect him as one of the best players in the country.

There are even some people, like Aaron Murray, who believe Stockton should be leader in the Heisman Trophy race right now. Who knows if he will win that award, but no one should be doubting Stockton's ability as Georgia's quarterback anymore.
