Georgia football fans love their former players. Whether they are off to the NFL or doing something else with their life, Georgia fans want to support them in whatever they are doing.
That has especially been the case with Aaron Murray who has been making push to make it in the broadcasting world now that his playing career is done. And it turns out that he is going to get his chance as he will be on the main crew calling the biggest games on the SEC Network each week this fall.

Excited to be a part of the @SECNetwork Primetime game this fall! https://t.co/epZrtSWscD
Georgia fans will get to hear Aaron Murray a lot more than they normally do on the SEC Network
The SEC Network doesn't broadcast the biggest games in the SEC each week. Those games are typically played on ABC or ESPN, but they do still get to broadcast some really good games most weeks.
This will more than likely include a couple Georgia games when their matchups aren't being put on two bigger networks. So when Georgia does get to play on the SEC Network this season there is a chance Murray could be calling their game.
Murray obviously would have to be unbiased when he calls a Georgia game, but it will still be awesome to hear a familiar voice on TV. And if anyone has watched his college football show on YouTube over the past few years they know that he is extremely knowledgeable and will undoubtedly do an amazing job.
Since retiring from playing football Murray has been searching for what his next calling is, he has even joked about wanting to become a coach. But he is the perfect person to be given the chance to prove himself on TV, and he will undoubtedly start making a name for himself now.
ESPN may be making up for their big mistake with David Pollack
ESPN owns the SEC Network, so this decision to give Murray a chance on the big stage is coming from them. In a way ESPN owed Georgia this because they let go another former Bulldog in David Pollack from their network a couple years ago.
Pollack was one of the regular voices on College GameDay every week for 12 years, and then in 2023 he was shockingly let go from the network altogether. Pollack was a fan favorite not just for Georgia fans, but for the rest of the country as well because he has so much knowledge about the sport and isn't interested in creating viral moments like the individuals who have come after him.
Georgia fans have now had to live in the college football world without a former Bulldog talking about the sport on live TV for three years now, but that will change with Murray this fall.
ESPN didn't make this decision as a way to make up for how they treated Pollack, but that certainly is how Georgia fans could view this because they should be excited to finally see a familiar face and hear a familiar voice on their TVs again.
